French for Beginners see below for French Improvers

Formed as the result of interest shown during a 'newcomers' meeting, this group has been in existence for just two months. Our aim is to understand enough of the French language to find our way around France, booking hotel rooms and understanding a menu.

Group members are very friendly, imaginative and fun to be with. All are either new to the language or in need of refresher study at a beginners level. Our leader, Hilary, is patient and understanding of our individual needs and for this we are eternally grateful.

Meetings are usually held on three Mondays our of four rotating around group members' houses. The venues dictate that the group size is restricted to the current nine members. The future holds promise of visits to France and some degree of understanding of the French language.
