If you would like to create photographs that are a little more interesting than the usual snap then you'll enjoy this group. We meet once a month to look at our photos together and get some new ideas for the future.
We are at all different levels of ability, from novice upwards. Members use any type of camera, from mobile phone camera to advanced digital cameras. It doesn't matter what camera is used, creativity is not just about the technicalities of the camera, or the editing app, it is so much to do with the original idea for the photo.
We meet monthly to see our photos projected on a large screen (so there's no need to print your photos). We tell each other how we created our photos, so we can learn new techniques from each other. Sharing ideas to improve our photography, solving any little problems and giving us new ideas for the next time.
In the monthly meeting, we choose two new topics for the following month. The topics can be interpreted as creatively as we wish, which means we have a nice variety of images to see in our following meeting.
Occasionally some of us go to photography exhibitions for inspiration and to see what professional photographers have achieved. But mostly we focus on our own creative photography.
