Aimed at cyclists with some experience of riding in groups and capable of rides of 20 to 25 miles.  Meeting at start of rides each Monday from locations such as Dinton Pastures, Cantley Park or Finchampstead BC, at 9.30am and returning around midday. Distance is dependant upon terrain and the ability of the Group, on a mixture of quiet roads, paths and tracks radiating from start points on varying routes with some main roads where unavoidable. Road Bikes will not be suitable on some of the tracks, and a moderate level of cycling fitness is required. Helmets, Hi Vis and properly maintained bikes are compulsory.  Following the Highway Code we promote a culture of safety and care for the group and other road and countryside users as a pre requisite.  The Group size and ride size will be limited.  A Convenor/Leader will lead each ride with a back marker (rider) for each group, split into 2 sections if needed.  We already have an approved Risk Assessment process. We encourage participation of riders in the formulation and leading of routes to keep the variety as wide as possible, and share the load on leads, but that will not be compulsory. There will be a strong socialising element on rides, with a coffee stop, and chances to chat on some of the quieter parts of rides on paths and tracks. The essence of this Group will be to cycle at a modest level and enjoy the journey, along with occasional challenging hills or tracks and sub optimal weather. For more information, please contact the Convenor.  We share socialising opportunities and support from and with other Cycling Groups to widen our network and share experiences.
