The aim of the group is to help members with their hobby of researching their family history. We have a wide experience within the group and sharing of this experience is both a rewarding and enjoyable aspect of the group.
At our meetings we have talks on a variety of genealogical topics. These typically include sources of information, record keeping, personal experiences, and use of the Internet to aid genealogical research. We also usually have a discussion time which might share particular successes or suggest approaches to solving difficulties. We meet on the 4th Wednesday of the month, usually at the Masonic Centre, Reading Road, Wokingham. Some meetings are held on Zoom to enable us to invite speakers who are not able to get to Wokingham in person. Beginners' Groups are held occasionally when there is demand.
