There are two groups, one meeting on Monday mornings and the other on Friday mornings from 10 - 12 noon at a house in Nine Mile Ride. The Monday group has been playing for more than 13 years now and the Friday group was started 4 years ago. We use Bell-plates, a substitute for real bells that make a comparable sound but are much cheaper to buy and maintain.
Although some musical knowledge helps, it is possible to become a player within the group without being able to read music. We enjoy all kinds of music; extracts from the classics to Old Time Music Hall, and lots in between. We are sometimes asked to "play away" and can usually put together a lively programme.
