The Social History group held its first meeting in April 2009. It was agreed to run the group informally, meeting in member's homes. Initially we roughly followed a GCSE level programme of study, since none of us have any expert knowledge.
This programme of study ended in Summer 2015. Some subjects discussed since then have been My Home Town, the Changing Face of the High Street, Clothing from 1750 onwards. We are now discussing various aspects of Country Houses.
We hope that everyone who attends will feel able to contribute, to some extent, to the topic of that meeting.
