
The Running Group meets on a Tuesday morning with the aim of improving physical and mental well being through walking, jogging or running. The group is inclusive, there is no competition and the only time consideration is to have a good one! The
runs will be from Dinton Pastures Country Park (parking charges apply) starting from 10:00 am. You will be running or run/walking at your own pace and you should be medically and physically confident in embarking on increased exercise.
The Running Group is designed to accommodate all abilities from people who can complete a non-stop 5k run at a steady pace to people either just starting out or coming back from injury and would like a shorter distance and maybe a run/walk. Anyone who is following the NHS couch to 5k programme is welcomed.
Many of our runners use the Running Group to have a mid week training run to compliment and improve on their 5k parkrun times on Saturday mornings which is timed and recorded.
Group runs will be up to a maximum of 12 to be confirmed
by WhatsApp and will include warm-up exercises to start and cool
down/stretching to finish.
The Running Group convenor is a Leader in Running Fitness (LiRF) coach with England Athletics, a licenced Guide Runner for the visually impaired, a parkrun Run Director at Dinton Pastures and a qualified first aider.
